DESCRIPTION:DADDIO is a contemporary improvisational group. Their musical offerings vary from fresh takes of other’s work (Sting\, John Scofield\, The Yellowjackets\, Steely Dan\, Steve Wonder\, Herbie Hancock\, Pat Metheny\, Ornette Coleman\, Average White Band\, Grover Washington) to original material composed by the band in a wide range of grooves and styles. But with the underlying bedrock of group improvisation and interplay. Once the frame work is in place they can “rebuild” the tune freshly every performance. And it is in that spontaneity that we find much joy.
